Biography
In 2019, Regula Zähner came across a book in Vermont/USA with portraits and works by American weavers from the last century. Since then, questions about the craft of weaving in Switzerland and her interest in the biographies of local weavers have never left her. Inspired by her encounters with weavers and their diverse work, she – a socio-cultural animator, weaver and president of Textilforum – contacted the journalist Gerlind Martin. Countless conversations, encouraging contacts and the delightful collaboration with Bernese photographer Lisa Schäublin resulted in the book «Alle Fäden in der Hand – Weben in der Schweiz», which she co-edited.
