Biography

Igor Pozun was born in Sarajevo in 1964. At the beginning of the war in Yugoslavia, he was recruited into the military and experienced the Siege of Sarajevo. It was a time that raised many questions for him: about education in the spirit of duty, about the state and people in war, about the role of patriotism and the right to personal freedom. These questions led him to leave the country and finally to write. He lives with his wife in Kerpen/Germany. ‘Everything is better than the lion’ is his first novel.
