Flurin Jecker, born in Bern in 1990, studied biology before beginning his studies in literary writing at the Swiss Literature Institute in Biel in 2013. During his years of study, he worked as a freelance journalist for the daily newspaper “Der Bund” and as a bicycle courier. In February 2017, his debut novel “Lanz” was published by Nagel und Kimche, for which he was awarded the Weiterschreiben-Stipendium of the City of Bern and the Kranichsteiner-Stipendium of the German Literature Fund. His second book Ultraviolett, published in 2021, is now also available at Nagel und Kimche. Santa Tereza, Jecker’s third novel, will be published by Nagel und Kimche on 25 February 2025. He gives workshops in creative writing and lives with his family as a freelance writer in Bern.
