Demian Cornu (1981), born and raised in Bern, studied religious studies and history. He is the father of two children from two different generations, co-president of the Swiss German PEN Centre, curator of the h*story discussion series, and goalkeeper for the Swiss National Literature Team. Before and alongside these roles, he was a rapper, teacher, night watchman, seller of pizzas and music recordings, a senior official in the Federal Administration, ticket dealer, protagonist in a documentary film, warehouse worker, crypto trader, tour guide and much more. His debut novel, «Transite kleiner Welten», was published by Kommode Verlag in 2022. His second novel, «Einmachglas», was published in 2026 by zeitkind Verlag. He has given readings, hosted events and taken part in discussions in Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Austria, Poland and Switzerland. Demian Cornu likes raccoons, chance encounters and the scent of fig trees – and yet, still believes in the human goodness.
