Sandra Rutschi (1979) was born and grew up in Emmental in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. She completed her studies in German and Journalism in Fribourg (Switzerland) with a Master of Arts degree. She has been working as a journalist since 1999. Today she lives in Bern and works as an editor and columnist for the Berner Zeitung and as a freelance author. Her publications include the detective novel “Im Schrebergarten” (2011), the portrait book “Bern – Portrait of a City” (2015) and the reading guide “Rund um Bern – Lieblingsplätze zum Entdecken” (2019). In spring 2025, «BEA – ihre Menschen, ihre Geschichten» will be published by Stämpfli Verlag. In addition, there are countless newspaper articles and dozens of columns and short stories.
