Biography
Fabienne Pakleppa was born in French-speaking Switzerland. She lives and works in Munich. Her previous novels, “Die Himmelsjäger” (Suhrkamp), “Die Aufsässigen” (Insel) and “Die Birke” (Luchterhand), as well as the short story collections “Lustopfer” and “Mein unverschämter Liebhaber” are out of print. She has written several books as a ghostwriter and runs writing workshops, mainly for people with psychiatric experience. In 2015, she realised the project “haiku sucht” together with 125 visual artists (http://haikusucht.de). Her literary work has been supported by the Cultural Department of the City of Munich and Pro Helvetia, and she has received the “Gratwanderpreis” for erotic literature from Playboy magazine and the “Ernst-Hoferichter-Preis” from the City of Munich. “Rosalie will es so” (AT) is a family saga that spans generations and several continents and tells of the pursuit of happiness, placing strong female characters at the centre.
